Adult Day Services

Making banana bread.

Our Adult Day Services program serves individuals over the age of 21 years with intellectual or developmental disabilities who benefit from a daily program of activities that develop skills in adaptive living, self help, personal awareness, communication, cultural experience, socialization, and employment basics.

Pre-vocational training takes place at The Arc Thrift Shop, located in Burlington City, NJ. Here, staff help the men and women in the program learn the ins and outs of running a store: sorting goods and stocking shelves; interacting with shop customers; operating the cash register; and maintaining the facility.

Organizing totes of things.

We encourage community integration by exploring opportunities for volunteering at local sites like libraries and area nursing homes, maintaining our garden plots, etc.

The Adult Day Services is eligible for funding through your Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) budget, or through referral by your support coordinator.

If you would like to know more about our adult care services or to schedule a visit, contact Lisa Banks, director of adult day services, at 609-694-1023 or email to lisab@arcofburlington.org.
