Adult Day Services
Supporting Adults 21+ in Meaningful, Engaging Ways
Our Adult Day Services program serves individuals 21 years and older with intellectual or developmental disabilities who benefit from a structured, daily program focused on growth, independence, and connection.
Participants engage in activities that support:
- Adaptive living skills
- Self-help and personal awareness
- Communication development
- Cultural experiences
- Socialization
- Employment basics
Real-World Learning & Pre-Vocational Training
Pre-vocational training takes place at The Arc Thrift Shop in Burlington City, NJ, where participants gain hands-on experience and build workplace skills.
With staff support, individuals learn:
- Sorting goods and stocking shelves
- Interacting with customers
- Operating the cash register
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Community Integration
We encourage community involvement by exploring opportunities for volunteering at local sites, such as:
- Libraries
- Area nursing homes
- Community garden plots
These experiences help build confidence, relationships, and a sense of purpose beyond the program setting.
